I am so grateful I am that I get to do this as a job and for the friendships I’ve made with several of my players. Being able to roleplay through the highs and lows and characters’ stories and be able to provide this experience for people is so wonderful.

I will say I think it’s a little more nuanced than just money. Creators believe (rightfully so) that videos with harsh language don’t get pushed by their platform’s algorithms as much. If they make a video about something serious, it likely will reach more people with the censored language.

If you haven’t played it yet, me and my boyfriend love Arkham Horror The Board Game (there is also a living card game version that is pretty great as well and story focused)! Plus it has a cannon trans character is refreshing for Lovecraft stuff!
