Any data on how snow free Christmas was? And how does that compare to other years?

100 km/h in English Bay and a few sailboats washed up in Kits

Saw the first blooming in the West End of Vancouver this past week. I used to think of these as spring flowers but maybe late fall is more appropriate here.

Unfortunately neither wolverine or badger occur in that area. Maybe spotted skunk but it would still appear to have some white. Best guess would be maybe a young racoon or red fox, or some sort of escaped pet

Do we know why this amount of wind shear is present right now?

Any thoughts on what caused the shift? I'm surprised as I'd normally anticipate sea temperatures to shift more slowly.

I think California has seen similar dichotomies. I suppose seeing stronger gradients between pressure systems is something to be expected with climate change?
