At the 100 lowest-paying major US companies, CEO pay averaged $17.2M in 2024. Median worker pay at these companies was just $35,570.

Don't believe the hype. In 1971, for the first time in the century, the merchandise trade balance was negative—imports exceeded exports by $9.5 billion, adjusted for 1999 dollars. The balance was positive again in 1973 and 1975, but it has been negative every year thereafter.
