I think Kuuga may truly be the "best" Kamen Rider has to offer. Not always everyone's favorite for a number of reasons, but it's an incredible story that maximizes the medium.

I know so few North American Slam Dunk fans (the manga is out of print and I don't know that the original anime was discontinued early)... where do you think this surge comes from? Europe?
