The Chess content mills continue to be both embarrassingly dumb and concretely harmful.

If your reaction to hearing that a chess player "struck" somebody "from behind" and was thus reported to the police and kicked out of a tournament is to IMMEDIATELY start spinning up whatever scenario you can imagine to justify the violence you might have some biases to address.
