The simple fact is that no country with the capacity to invade Ireland, has the motivation to do so.

Ireland doesn't freeload. It just navigates the reality of political geography.

3. The main reason to invade Ireland would be as a base from which to attack countries like the UK, France etc.

These countries cannot afford to allow this to happen.

Irish neutrality is enabled by three factors.

1. There is no profit motivation to conquer Ireland. No oil or rare materials. Occupations are expensive & it's cheaper just to buy anything Ireland has.

2. There are no good military targets. You don't need to neutralise a non-existent threat.

The BBC’s own “impartiality briefing” for freelancers included not doing anything to annoy the DM. So - not impartial! Also not great for freedom of speech.

Changing the child's behaviour means changing environments, building skills, reducing unnecessary stress and making school a place where the young person feels safe, valued and capable.

Absenteeism is a signal. When adults respond with curiosity rather than blame, solutions emerge.

The task is not to decide which label fits. The task is to understand the context.

What events make getting to school harder? What punishes attendance? What reinforces staying home?

Once you analyse the situation this way, the behaviour stops looking mysterious and starts looking logical.

“Can’t” often means the child is facing real barriers: anxiety, bullying, sensory overload, or work they feel they cannot do.

“Won’t” usually means the same thing seen from the outside. What looks like refusal is often escape from situations that feel unsafe or hopeless.
