I say this, querying a romance that deals with this and getting multiple ableist replies from agents, who don't seem to even realize the specific responses to fulls they give me are ableist takes on these issues. It's been discouraging, but not surprising.

Also, more high support needs. Romances with characters who can't financially support themselves, don't qualify for governmental assistance & who have to contend with dating while living with parents, or navigate the complexities of being inherently financially dependent on a significant other, etc
