Saw Wicked a week ago and every single day since then I’ve been racked by confusion about why the witch/munchkin/handsome prince school was called “Shiz.” I need answers!

When they named the planets, why did they give the other planets these bitchin Roman God names and when it came to our own planet they just stuck with “Earth”? So bland, mostly just the “ur” sound like “durrrr.” Coulda named it something rad like Tibertus or Mithras or something. Total botch job.
