some photos today at Norman Bird Sanctuary, and the moon. No birds in the pond, but the water had interesting "texture." A White-breasted Nuthatch in a typical upside down pose, and the moon.

right place/right time, and a friendly woman with a scope who pointed me to a Northern Lapwing! Then today I found that the Wood Duck is still hanging out with Mallards, and the Green-winged Teals are still there, too. And Ruddy Ducks. This thrills me, I hope you like them, too

not sure anyone else would be happy, but yesterday I saw all three types of Scoters: Black, Surf, White-winged - Easton's Bay, Newport RI (Surf Scoter from today - yesterday's all hiding their beaks)

Went to Sachuest Point NWR this afternoon - very windy and lots of great birds. Harlequin drakes are so colorful, and I also saw a Red-breaster Merganser drake - and surf
