Insane reality. Like imagine you write one of the best books of your career which then becomes one of the most well-known graphic novels of all time but mainly because your publisher just over-produced the fuck out of your book just to screw you over. Crazy.

Like I ALSO just found out recently that the only reason Watchmen is in every bookstore is because DC is still just actively trying to keep distribution rights away from Alan Moore 40+ years later by publishing it consistently to the point where it’s overstocked everywhere ever

Idk why this is new information to me bc I knew Rorschach was a rip-off of The Question but I guess it took getting really into Peacemaker as a character to realize that the whole book, while really good, kinda just stands as a testament to beef between comic publishers and writers
