Well my daughter aged off my insurance and due to preexisting conditions had to get a plan through ACA. Halfway through the year called to check on employment since she had no income filed. The took away the subsidy and she had to pay full premium retro to the start of the year.

100% wrong. They check your income level halfway through the year to see if you are still on track to be eligible. If you make under 15k or over 60k they will charge you full premium with no subsidy allowed.
