I feel super lucky to be named a Clifford Robert’s Fellow through the Eisenhower Institute! This funding is supporting my dissertation research on the experiences of Housing Voucher holders.

I’ve done 1/3 things on this list! That 1 thing is really exciting though! 😁
Grades submitted, started planning for a new project with @noellebroughton.bsky.social, invigorating Peloton workout...summer is off to a good start!

One of my favorite parts of being an academic is getting to teach undergrads. I love simplifying statistics for math-averse students and cultivating critical thinking in an environment designed for them to take risks. I’m honored that this love is recognized through SPAA’s Grad Teaching Award! 💡

I am so proud to announce that I have officially reached candidacy! 🎉

Yesterday, I defended my dissertation prospectus, "Housing and Neighborhoods Under New Public Management"

I have the best committee that is kind, yet critical (including @meganehatch.bsky.social 🙂). Here's to dissertating!!!

This semester, I'm teaching Intro to Law and Society. Tonight, we talked about Emancipatory Horizons and Non-Reformist Reforms, using @amnaakbar.bsky.social's article to frame our discussion. (1/4)

The 2017 tax law didn’t deliver the promised economic boost — no meaningful gains in growth, investment, or wages. Now, plans to extend it, alongside cuts to #Medicaid & #SNAP and new tariffs, would raise costs for families while giving more to the top 1%. www.cbpp.org/blog/the-201...
