Marshmallow is basically a kids on summer camp movie, bit everything is not as it seems. Thoroughly enjoyable, well written and great performances from the very young leads and suppoting actors. Go in as blind as you can.

The Last Sacrifice is a cool documentary about a real life murder that inspired folk #horror films such as the Wicker Man. Told via talking heads and oodles of archival and film footage. I found it lacked structure and meandered at times, but it's still worth watching if you're a fan of true crime

Devils is basically a super gory South Korean Face Off/Freaky Friday number. I was expecting to be disappointed by the explanation of how this happened, but it was deliciously unexpected. @shudder.com you need to pick this up immediately

U Are The Universe is an astounding film about the last two humans in space trying to reach each other after Earth explodes. Even more amazing considering this is Ukrainian and filmed during the current Russian war. Bring the kleenex for an emotional and beautiful ending

Black Hole is based on a collection of Estonian novellas. A black hole appears in the bushes outside an apartment block, leading to all sorts of scenarios that affect local residents love and happiness. I had a great time with this, I don't know when it will be on wider release but keep an eye out

Spent this entire weekend at Culture Shock festival in #Sheffield, the first ever edition and organised by Rob Nevitt (director of @celluloidscreams.bsky.social). There's been some great classics such as Psychomania and Terror of Mechagodzilla. Also a bunch of excellent new films from around the 🌍
