Was it worth it? Almost certainly: in the other timeline, I'd be dead in the BEST-case realistic scenario.
Regrets? Zero.

FanGraphs' model is only giving my beloved #Cubs a 0.2% edge over a coin flip in the wildcard series against SD, despite finishing +2.0 games ahead of them on the season and having home field advantage. Bizarre, but ok 🙄

One would think, and yet those sampled who identified as racial minorities had a slightly more positive attitude than white people (e.g. black respondents were more positive than everyone but men and cis men).
Not really sure what to make of that. Interesting and seems counterintuitive.

Anyhoo, it ended up a pretty solid year. 948 for total mileage was probably the closest I've come yet to a sort of "platonic ideal" amount.
If I hit the same mark again in this year--along with lower variance in totals between months--I'll be very happy 🙂
