Not much update as I found out my grandmother passed away so just kinda processing that. Took some solitude time and worked on the broach for the cape. It's shitty but honestly not much else I can do at this point I'm running out of time and still have lots to do.

Pretty happy with the color and how this turned out. Just finishing the lining. Then I need to add some details to the sleeves before I sew them.

Not me cutting one of the main pieces backwards, twice, and interfacing it wrong. Gotta recut it. But the lining and back are done besides those panels. I can atleast cut the collar out of the bits I fucked up so there's that

Finally cut into the final fabric for the shirt jacket. Had to add interfacing toi make it stiffer which took hours to cut and iron when I don't own an actual ironing board. Tomorrow I'll sew these all together. I also got accepted into the cosplay competition so wish me luck.

Figured out how to make it work. Going to need a small bit of Velcro and two snaps. Very happy with the outcome. Just need to now do the detailed work and add the jewlery. Basically, had to make it a flap of sorts to be able to access the zipper.

My idea is to do a series of Velcro and stitches. The blue will be sewn and the red Velcro. This will allow me to still get the effect that I want to and still be able to get these on and off because of the zipper.

Sewed a new kind of zipper today. I've only done invisible ones before. Shorts turned out perfect. Now to figure the logistics of these weird panels and being able to get them on and off.

The top is pretty much finished. Just need to work on the exact collar pattern but overall I'm very happy with the results. Also I've never made anything like this so pretty proud of how it's coming out.

Got around to figuring out the pattern for the sleeves. Learned my machine has a gathering stitch and like 5 more I didn't know about. Learned how to gather as well as add a cuff. Now I have a sleeve.

Second one came out better. I dint want to dart to many spots without the sleeves and I know it will sit slightly different with the stabilizer and stretch fabric so I think I'll say I've got the pattern where I want. Now to get the sleeves printed and cut out for a mockup.

More progress. I figured out the collar with some help from friends. Tweaked the shorts pattern and now it's looking much better. Still need to add length to the jacket and tackle the sleeves. I also went and bought the shorts fabric and shirt fabric.

Shorts pattern has been sorted after a few hours of figuring out alterations. Now to just modify the pattern to do what I want and run another test.

But after watching about fourteen different youtube videos, I figured out the general idea and i'm using my common sense of sowing knowledge to figure out how to sew these on the plus side so far everything fits while just being pinned.

Decided to draft this for the jacket bit of his outfit. So much cutting. I've never made a suit jacket before. Also there were no instructions with this pattern so having to wing it.

Using this as my base for a few things. Still cutting more patterns. I need to get my muslin to mock uo my designs and get to drawing the many details I'm going to embroider. My goal is to compete in novice at a con in November for this cosplay. It's the biggest build I've done
