Apparently I never got the memo about bios and team affiliations so I shall rectify that now: VOLS (across all), Braves, Commanders = diehard. Warriors & Bruins = fan. Austin FC, Washington Spirit, Middlesbrough = casual table follower most of the time.
This handsome dumb dumb ate more things than I could ever list but we eventually knew he was always going to be fine. Gut of absolute steel. Funniest ones were an entire box of protein bars and a container of flaxseed while my folks were taking care of him. Belly swole up like a tick both times

Only a Safe Harbor match is a fixed commitment from the company and even then those are year to year contracts so they are only committed until the end of each year.

As long as the plan document lists the matching contributions as being "discretionary" the formula used to calculate the match can be changed at any time. Technically a plan can lock in a formula and not categorize it as discretionary but would be dumb to do so.
