Being an undiagnosed autistic meant that I had no clue what I was doing and my life is a far cry from what I thought it would be and what was expected. The (kids of) people they looked down on did a lot better. I have a lot of resentment towards my parents for this 'attitude'. 2/2

Yes, resonates. Especially the part 'we were just smarter than everyone else'. I have really struggled with the fact that they 'looked down' on basically all others, and sort of forced that on me, including expectations that I was also smarter/better than others. Can't put it into words well. 1/2
