Soooo… can the president pardon direct contempt for which the Bailiff takes someone into custody?

Did I fall into the alternative timeline where The Onion is serious news again?

The laptop part reads as the IT bods not being involved and the lawyer using a ticket log they don’t understand to me (and reads like either the technician is an asshole, or the system is terrible, but it could be either)

It ain’t everyone, even with 9 digit spending trying to make it be.

Do they think people who read their judgement won’t be able to determine their bias from it?

More importantly, I’m now curious about the standards and options for recusal when biased against a claimant. Research time.

I read a sample of both positive and negative, regardless of overall rating, even if I’m buying on another platform. I usually don’t care about the actual rating, however.

While it’s still the executive.
Fear of reprisal once you lose an election to someone isn’t a good reason to avoid prosecuting someone, nor effective in preventing said reprisal, but it sure is popular, even if that’s not who you’re certain to lose to.

Coincidentally, we should force them to sell their property before they leave, should they choose to do so.
No need to tax the sale specially, there’ll be a couple of dozen chains of people able to buy a nicer house at a massive discount and nothing of value lost to the country.

It doesn’t require much brain for the early part.

The ones who don’t are the ones we see getting ruthlessly briefed against in the press and hounded for minor things.

Politics as usual, really. You don’t get to be in the leadership unless someone has compromat (genitals in a dead pig’s mouth, anyone? That remains a winning bit of blackmail)

I think something similar, but in some ways more positive - burn their political capital fixing the basic machinery, which is hard fights for no personal rewards, and the foundations were so weak that the remaining effort and influence is overwhelmed by the “advisor” crew who set the open policies.

Much as I despise the current Labour government, there’s a lot of stuff you normally don’t see getting quietly fixed that’s just day-to-day government working properly.
My personal experience of it is the level of customs work actually getting done properly, with de minimis abuse cases especially.

“Lord of Coronaries” is a touch concerning and perhaps sends the wrong message?
How about just “His most esteemed Majesty?” Instead of that one?
