if that’s the case, I’d REALLY love to learn more about the Sith cultural history as a whole. This theology built on hate & power & cruelty, how does it command such an incredible amount of loyalty & commitment? Why would monsters care for it even more than themselves?

Best I figure, these Sith had a greater loyalty to the theology, culture, and objectives of the Sith Order than they did to themselves. They willingly died to strengthen it. In a twisted, evil perversion; they burned their lives to make a sunset they knew they’d never see.

Wouldn’t it make more sense for a Sith master to train a bunch of easily controllable assassins who couldn’t overthrow their master even if they united?
But not only did they adhere to the Rule of Two for 1000 years, they did it well enough that it worked!
