Okay, MUCH better! Probably need to update the towels and still need to go around and touch up the parts where I made some taping mistakes, but overall I'm pleased with a weekend's worth of work.
Same bathroom, but the AFTER picture because now the wall is neutral beige, kinda oatmealy, similar to the shower curtain. Poster has been re-hung on the freshly painted wall. There are minor bits where navy blue peeps through on the seam where the wall and shower meet, but it's FINE, you probably wouldn't even notice if I didn't point it out! I'm not going to let that ruin my sense of accomplishment!

I've disliked this navy blue paint in my bathroom since I moved in, and I'm finally painting it, but it's so hard to cover navy with a lighter colour, and I know that I need to let the first coat dry so I can do a second, but I feel so defeated with how ugly it looks right now.

4. Made sugar cookies with a new cookie cutter I got for my birthday, in the shape of a d20!
Dough is rolled out and a hexagon cutter marks cookies into 13 d20s. Very little dough is unused on the edges with no unused dough between cookies! Post baking - which has rounded out the hexagons but the lines and "20" has been outlined in green icing.

2. Had a week's vacation at the cottage and it was bliss. Saw a sunset, had a hammock nap, went swimming, read a book.... Heaven!

Trying to catch up bluesky with what I've been up to because I'm bad at that.

1. I dyed a dress I never wore to save it from the donation pile and now I love it! I don't have a before pic of me wearing it but I'm so pleased with the after!

Also tie dyed some shirts for myself and nieces!

I got more wax seals for my birthday and played with a few today and only burnt myself a little bit! Still can't get the last one to work (with the stars) in two tones like the promo image I'm including here as the last image. All my attempts have been messy / a waste of wax.

(at least, that's what I've always been told that these flowers are called. Google is no help.)

We took a day trip away from Vienna to see Melk, Salzburg, and Hallstatt. It was wonderful, although a tad damp (our only day of full rain).
Quick pit stop at the old brotherhood in Melk, Austria. View is from the tour parking structure down to the village with the monestary on the top right. Lots of stairs and lamps. Pegasus fountain in the Mirabel Gardens in Salzburg, Austria. (Famous for being featured in the "Do-Re-Me" musical number from the Sound of Music. Also the birthplace of Mozart. Misty but charming town centre in Hallstatt, Austria. A smaller village that has nevertheless influenced pop culture (Frozen's Arrendelle is partly modeled off it) and the Netflix show 'Spring Waltz', which was filmed here, brought in an influx of tourists (maybe to the chagrin of locals).

How does one sum up a seven day trip to three cities in only four pictures? Everywhere I walked there was another marvel. There was such history in each step!

I'm 75% finished with Aubrey Gordon's second book and I've highlighted so many passages, it's turning yellow. I've also taken pictures of the action items and reflection questions for talking with ppl about this book. Highly recommend!

I want it understood that I didn't buy either of these, both were gifted to Bash so he could have a summer and winter residence.

The train did not come with an instruction manual, just one small photo, so much swearing was done during the construction.

There is a cat inside but because he's got black fur its almost impossible to see him in the shadows. A cardboard structure meant to look like an ol timey steam locomotive. It is brown and white with black wheels and windows that show the inside. A close up through one of the train windows to show a black tuxedo cat (some white around the nose, chin, and neck) with the brightness turned up so he doesn't disappear into the shadows.
