We find wonderful biological discoveries in the most serendipitous of places, whether yielding glamorous medical breakthroughs or sensible incremental insights. We pursue science with curiosity and scientific integrity, and I will stand up to keep it this way. (3/3)

I wear some categories quietly: multiracial, ashkenazi, immunocompromised. Maybe my research now and in the future could be twisted to avoid any "DEI", but diverse research helps all of us. (2/3)

Especially fond of the initial description of utility + pitfalls in simplifications, incorporation of considerable diversity as a feature not a bug, the discussion on models of alloreactivity, and the positive conclusion!

Although sometimes bits in blogs & mailing lists contain head-tilting conclusions or oversimplifications, the right mixture of moderation, discourse, and high + low effort can make these such endearing learning spaces (which countless folks before me have also compiled and curated)

There's a funny recursion in which I feel late to the party about this older post which laments being late to the party about older resources, but despite the FOMO these types of content have been such a personally invaluable jumping point for further deep dives or discussions
