It definitely feels like luck sometimes, but focusing on dough shaping has helped me get more consistent results. It’s always so satisfying when it works out!

They didn't. Much of Rothenburg had to be rebuilt after the war (around 40% of the city was destroyed in the bombings). However, the older parts survived.

I visited in July a few years ago, but Rothenburg at Christmas sounds absolutely wonderful!
