Sure, they aren’t explicitly required by the constitution, but RFK Jr.’s seeming lack of awareness and respect for precedent (especially in the context of healthcare), is just another reason in a long line of ‘em of why he shouldn’t be HHS Secretary.

Additionally, in Jacobson v. Massachusetts (1905), SC ruled "Individual rights may need to yield to the state’s police power in order to preserve the public health or safety" & “There are manifold restraints to which every person is necessarily subjected for the common good."

I have to respectfully disagree. Most modern rights aren't required by the constitution, including many of the contemporary rights to right to privacy (Griswold v. Connecticut '65, penumbras).
