Our Solidarity is still total, but I wish shit were a bit less apocalyptical. he/him
I’m likely being unfair and simplistic, but for the most part, their innovation was starting with a black background instead of white.

Tubi also has Trading Places!

What’s kinda amazing is the actual transcripts are much worse than what @michaelconnelly.bsky.social created in his AI murder book.

I think Steiner will definitely try to fuck with shit, but I think a better indicator of how this will work in practice is how the clerk and mail handler unions react. Maybe I’m utterly wrong and this is a much bigger deal than how I’m reading the rule.

I don’t trust any of those people, but getting a manual postmark when it’s required to vote or do your taxes seems like a good idea? I used to ride with my parents as they drove to the USPS processing center in the mid-80s to make sure they made the cut off on their taxes.
December 30, 2025 at 12:05 AM
You’re overthinking this. If you hand a ballot or letter to a clerk you can get a same day postmark. If you drop it off in a box you might not. That’s always been true. Will USPS and Steiner potentially try to fuck with mail in voting? Maybe, but this specific fed register rule isn’t that.

Here’s the actual rule: bsky.app/profile/alas...

The number of people “blaming” Dejoy for this is making my laugh and scream.

It’s mostly about drop boxes and also protecting against worker errors. You can still get a manual same day postmark and while I understand why people see this type of headline and immediately presume the worst, this is mostly just providing specifics to current policies.

If you read the rule, you’d see that it doesn’t actually change anything.

I do appreciate those using the new iOS and warned the rest of us. Getting daily notifications asking why I haven’t installed the update I downloaded is a bit irritating, but easy to ignore.

From multiple people too. There was also a dark screen version of the same email that was leaked.

I think the age breakdowns are specifically set to end up with negatives. A more typical GenX breakdown probably has Trump above water slightly.

I still think about a few Andy Rooney ones. Him mailing back basically trash to the postage paid junk mail he received I’ll never forget.

As a technically gen x, but close to the cusp, I appreciate them including those aged 35-44 to help out those percentages.

We printed our signs for one of the No Kings protests and afterward the printer started giving us a fake paper jam errors for regular print jobs (after manually bypassing the error it printed fine). After about a week it started working normally again.

Giving money to the LA Sheriffs instead of just a normal ass charity was weird as hell and then they gave him another $15k, but it’s at least illuminating to see who has become more aggressively right wing and who has (I think) stopped being overt (Bryan V)

I’d rather endanger people than be 10 minutes later than I wanted to be is one hell of a choice.

This is the biggest reason he probably won’t switch, in other scenarios they might try to give him a committee chair, but I don’t see that being an enticement for him at all

They’re just giving proper credit to Pete Wilson, the true hero of California politics.

It’s not great! I got a push poll from probably Wicks, maybe Swalwell. But the moderates keep jumping in or rumored to jump in, and the list of non-objectionable candidates is slim right now.
December 8, 2025 at 11:50 PM
Compare this to what’s happening in the CA Governor primary is making me a little sad and jealous. Although having the moderates also all go after one another will be fun to watch.

MyShake deciding that we just really need to know what’s happening in Lyons, Nevada no matter where we live for reasons.
