The French Dispatch (2021) #MeadiaThread

If I ever met Léa Seydoux I would also spend every last waking moment of my life trying to capture the very essence of her beauty in the form of art.

Frankenstein (2025) #MeadiaThread

Visually, this is one of the most electrifying movies I've ever seen and every actor involved gave such a gripping performance. Guillermo del Toro's eye for detail really is unmatched by any other director, though I wouldn't say this is a perfect adaptation.

The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014) #MeadiaThread

Wes Anderson is a director that you can undeniably tell in every facet of his work that he loves to make movies. This is a perfect film from start to finish, and a movie that I wholeheartedly believe everyone should watch at least once.

Until Dawn (2015) #MeadiaThread

Started this on Halloween and just now finished! I managed to save everyone but Josh. I've played most of their work, and it's probably my favorite of Supermassive Games' catalog. I think it's mostly because I like this cast a lot better than The Quarry's.

Pokemon Legends: Z-A (2025) #MeadiaThread

Extremely fun gameplay loop, insanely good music, some of the best character designs in the series and the new battle system forces you to completely rethink your playstyle. Unfortunately it probably has the worst story in all of Pokemon.

Maison and the Man-Eating Apartment (2025, Ongoing) #MeadiaThread

This is another ongoing manga that I just caught up with. It already gone to some really wacky places story-wise but the concept still has me hooked.

Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc (2025) #MeadiaThread

The music was phenomenal, every frame of the movie was filled with color, the action was nonstop and the pacing was tight! This is probably the best movie sequel to an anime series ever made.

I don't know who at Dropout has been going through my notes app but this Make Some Noise prompt has been a stupid comedy movie idea I've had for years

The Long Walk (2025) #MeadiaThread

Speaking as a leftist, you can really tell a liberal wrote this story.

Centuria (2024, Ongoing) #MeadiaThread

This manga is still ongoing but I just caught up with it so I'll add it here.

It took me about 20 chapters to fully get into it but I really love the direction this is going. The art style is a little rough, but who am I to judge. Great story so far.

Sorry We're Closed (2024) #MeadiaThread

The art direction in this game is gorgeous and the story is lots of fun. The controls are fairly clunky, but everything else was so enjoyable that I didn't mind.

Mouthwashing (2024) #MeadiaThread

I thought the story and character writing were both great, and the art style was fantastic.

The Promised Neverland (2018) #MeadiaThread

An extremely cool manga that constantly kept the tension up. Also strangely relevant to right now in some ways, so long as you don't think too deeply of its politics. Frequently kept the tension up, though the story did change scope half way through.

Cure (1997) #MeadiaThread

A slow burn, but intensely creepy. There were so many cool shots in this movie that it was worth watching for those alone. There's also basically no music in this entire film, which made the movie itself feel suitably empty.

Resident Evil 4 Remake: Separate Ways DLC (2023) #MeadiaThread

I wanted to play something Halloweeny and I haven't played this DLC since it came out, despite playing RE4 so many times, so I decided to give it a go. Ignoring the acting, it's fun but it just made me want to play the base game again.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975) #MeadiaThread

This movie was definitely a blast to watch and Tim Curry was, of course, excellent, but I think maybe just because of the way my friends have praised this movie I kinda expected more from it.

The Substance (2024) #MeadiaThread

I definitely shouldn't have watched this after eating dinner... or while experiencing body dysmorphia. Most horror doesn't really phase me but there were parts where I genuinely just could not watch and I mean that with all the appreciation for it in the world.

Star Wars: Jedi Survivor (2023) #MeadiaThread

A decent sequel with a strong story, even if some of is morals are a bit confused. Very much a Last Jedi to The Force Awakens kind of sequel. By far the worst optimized game I've ever played though. So many times I wanted to quit from ridiculous bugs.

I think I cooked with this one.

I've been trying to put together a spreadsheet of all of the concerts I've ever been to and I think this is the complete list

Exhuma (2024) #MeadiaThread

I'm sure I'm missing some major cultural context, but I just didn't really enjoy much of this movie. It just felt too slow for me and any scenes containing actual horror were few, far-between and fleeting.

Alien Earth (2025) #MeadiaThread

Unfortunately I really didn't vibe with this series despite being a huge fan of the franchise. I didn't like the characters or the premise much at all.

Also, why don't we have an addition to the Alien series written by a woman yet?

Chainsaw Man (2022) #MeadiaThread

The anime is undeniably well animated and acted, but having read the manga as it released, I had a hard time feeling invested in this adaptation. It took me about 6 episodes before it clicked and I didn't want to stop watching.

Donkey Kong Bananza: DK Island & Emerald Rush DLC (2025) #MeadiaThread

As a huge fan of DK 64 and having just finished Bananza I was so excited for this DLC. Unfortunately this DLC is just a $20 setpiece for photomode with a minigame you'll maybe play once. I wish I could get my money back.
