Of course I get the spirit and the value of “there is no past or future, only the present”, but I think sometimes it’s merely an unhelpful or even harmful trick of language. There is no past, but there WAS the past. There is no future, but there WILL BE a future.

RIP D'Angelo. Scrounges up a few hundred bucks in the mid-90's, buys a 4-track, composes virtually his entire debut album on it. That (along with our astrology sign) is about it in terms of our parallel lives, but I will always aspire to make something as great as Brown Sugar.

Summertime at Seattle Center: where there’s always a PA blaring music outside for reasons unclear.

Guitar maker: “Our new shape eliminates the problematic low-end ‘puff of air’ often associated with dreadnaught-style guitars.”

Rational me: that makes sense for studio recording.

Hippy-dippy me: y’all need to go play your dreadnaughts outside and feel what that puff of air is all about.

Dead Like Me is SUCH an unrealistic show. I mean, who has difficulty selling a house in Seattle?

Apparently if you’re an American novelist working in the past 40 years, you must use the word “redolent” at least once in every book.

A lot of Mara's Season 1 arc has been to establish herself as an independent adult and realign her relationship with her mother. This flashback gives a glimpse of teen Mara & her mother.

No context needed, but you might look up some greek myths after!

Sometimes you're running a chase through a casino and the villain breaks a giant aquarium to add an obstacle and then you discover that one of your PCs can talk to fish and get a song worthy of Patti LuPone out of it.

Perfectly normal RPG things, right?
