And if you are advocating for gender policing laws, get ready to have to show your genitals to strange police officers to prove you have the right to use a toilet. Because that’s so much better than potentially having to pee next to a trans person, right?

These gender policing laws are targeting real people over imaginary scenarios.

If you are genuinely afraid that a stranger will harm you in a public bathroom, do what trans people have been doing for their own safety - pee at home.

Let’s not pretend this is about preventing SA in public bathrooms. Not one person has gone to the effort of “pretending to be the opposite gender” in order to sneak into the bathroom. Anyone can walk into any bathroom at any time and commit SA anywhere regardless.

Cis Men: Are you shorter than average? Not very muscular? Too skinny? Too fat? Struggle to grow facial hair? Have a hormone condition? Like to put effort into your appearance? Like to wear your hair long? Shave your body hair? Are you any race other than white?

You will be targeted.

Cis Women: are you taller than average? Do you have big feet? A hormone condition? Hoarse/scratchy voice? Forgot to pluck and shave? Didn’t put on makeup today? Put on *too much* makeup? Are you muscular? Suffering from hair loss? Are you Black or any race other than white?

You will be targeted.

There is no line between the trans and gay community. We are inherently intertwined. The only reason we have any LGBT rights at all is because of the tireless work of trans advocates. Transphobic gays you are eating your own tail.

The minute you give in to the anti-trans push for gender policing, you have advocated for your own discrimination. It doesn’t matter if you’re cis. It doesn’t matter if you look cis. By dating someone of the same gender you are breaking their gender norms and you will never be good enough for them.
May 14, 2025 at 8:44 PM
It may feel better in the moment to use trans ppl as your scapegoat. It may feel safer to say “What I’m asking for is reasonable, unlike these transgender people who are the real problem”. It will not save you from discrimination.
May 14, 2025 at 8:44 PM
You better believe as soon as they finish eliminating our rights, they’ll come for yours next.

If every trans and intersex person was thanos snapped out of existence tomorrow, you would still experience just as much homophobia as you do today.

You will not be able to fit in with the conservative crowd, your existence still goes against their norms, you will not win their favor.

In case anyone was wondering what it’s like to need healthcare in the US of A :)

and when I finally get to a human person they say “Let me transfer you to a pharmacist” and it sends my call to a slightly different robot who asks the same questions then puts me on hold and then transfers me to a pharmacist who says “You need to call your doctor” (who told me to call insurance)
January 15, 2025 at 6:18 PM
and after the 3rd “is that correct?” it says “Let me transfer you to someone who can help” and then I hold for a few minutes while a different robotic voice says “Please wait” and then it says “Your call cannot be completed at this time.” and it hangs up, so I have to call back and do it all again
January 15, 2025 at 6:18 PM
and I say “Speak to a representative” and it says “You want to speak to a customer service advocate, is that correct?” and I say “Yes.” and it says “Let me see if I can help, you can say things like: make payment” and I say “Speak to a representative” and it says “You want to speak to a customer-“
January 15, 2025 at 6:18 PM
The voice repeats the numbers back to me and asks “Is that correct?” and I say “yes” and it says “Let me make sure I heard correctly” and then it repeats the exact same numbers and asks “Is that correct?” and I say “YES” and it says “Let me see if I can help” and then it asks for more numbers
January 15, 2025 at 6:18 PM
but before I can gain access to speak to a (probably underpaid) human person, I must first go through a gauntlet of robotic voices asking me for my name, date of birth, phone number, zip code, social security, member ID, RX#, billing address, email, phone number, social security, zip code, member ID
January 15, 2025 at 6:18 PM
and of course none of these institutions can contact each other, I must be the one to call all 3 of these places in an endless loop
January 15, 2025 at 6:18 PM
and the insurance won’t authorize it without my doctor’s authorization, and my doctor can’t send authorization without the pharmacy request, but the pharmacy can’t request it without insurance authorization :)
