Battlefield 6 multiplayer is very good on console, but the experience between crossplay on and off is significant.
PC player heavy lobbies are very oppressive compared to PS5 only lobbies. It feels like you cannot do anything as controller player at times.
Crossplay off is the way to go.

I will most likely get Battlefield 6. The beta is hitting all the Battlefield 3 and 4 notes that I enjoyed.
The most notable downside/realization is that this still isn’t Battlefield Bad Company 2 levels of destruction where nearly everything can be levelled.

Helldivers 2 has gotten a substantial PS5 Pro resolution bump, alongside generally better performance. It's an upgrade that's flown under the radar for about a month, but we can confirm that the game has indeed been boosted for Pro users.

Updated the BIOS of my wife's Gigabyte motherboard and discovered that Gigabyte insidiously installs software called the "Gigabyte Download Assistant" via the UEFI/BIOS.
This thing will nag you to download their App Center.
There's a way to stop it via an option in the UEFI/BIOS, but still. 🤮

Finally finished Baldur's Gate 3 on the PS5. I enjoyed it, but it's still a buggy game. The bugs weren't enough to derail my enjoyment, but they did interrupt what would have been an amazing experience.
Definitely deserves another play through some time in the future.

BlueSky has become the most promising successor to mid-2010s Twitter.
Threads is promising, but I really dislike the "picked for you" notifications in the Activity feed.
Mastadon should have taken the Twitter mantle, but in the end it feels too raw.
