Taproot by @keezyyoung.bsky.social (22/52) utterly adorable story in a gorgeous art style, and the hinted-at universe is absolutely *fascinating*. Queerness and necromancy and inept romance, it’s like this was designed precisely for me 😍 I’ve ordered their other books, can’t wait to read them!

A fun dig at a genre I haven’t much ventured into, and an example of unreliable narration that might be fun to teach, but not great. Austen’s tendency to skim over moments of great emotion - which worked well because of the characters in P&P - makes this unfinished and kinda disappointing. #BookSky

14/52 an odd one. The pacing was unfathomable. Mostly it reminded me of an XKCD comic, about how people in specialised fields forget how little of them other people know; there was meaning that was beyond me, but the story I understood didn’t move me much. Not for me.

A year and a half ago, I got a capybara ROUS tattoo, and in return I crocheted my artist a capybara with a skull on its head. Today he called me into the studio and gave me an adorable 3D printed capy 😍😭
