Oh yeah, it's now been a whole month since I arrived! Yay!

Sad that I have to go back to work tomorrow (today was "sports day" which is apparently a national holiday here in Japan). I think trying less hard will actually get me better results at work, so that's my goal this week.

I get embarrassed by my stupid mistakes and my sudden loss of all Japanese ability when it comes time to pay in cash. I almost fell into despair, but then I remembered that I'm just as awkward and embarrassing in English so it's okay.

Update: I am now a fan, and I got to hear Wisp and Polyphia, who I didn't know were playing. Finally I saw Tim Henson in person. His voice is surprisingly deep.

Also, apparently they have a song called Ativan and the singer went into a long talk about people relying on and getting addicted to... antidepressants. Ativan is an anxiolytic, my guy. Benzos can be addictive and dangerous, but conflating them with antidepressants really pissed me off.
