To be honest, there are a lot more important issues to be upset about with this government. There's just something about seeing an open goal and watching them kick the ball away when it's such an easy goal. It's utterly infuriating.

This is a total WTF moment for this government. They have the recommendation. They have overwhelming popular support. If I lived in a Labor electorate this is it. This is the thing that would mobilise me to join the local independent movement.

Even 62% is a BS target from Labor because they will use dodgy land use accounting tricks to meet that instead of reducing emissions. If you get rid of dodgy accounting tricks we are hardly reducing emissions at all. Fix the emissions accounting method and get some real targets please

Can you elaborate on the issue? NBN is slowly but surely fixing the result of the coalition’s Frankenstein multi-technology-mix. Internet connectivity is pretty damn good for most people.

If they choose to move, who will buy a house with an annual insurance premium of 28k? I have often said to friends and family that in Australia, one of the things that will make climate change real is the dropping value of housing in some areas.

Ah. I think this result may depend on whether the remaining declaration prepolls are "good" or "bad" to Boele and how many postals trickle in which will likely favour her. Still some chance to embarrass people that have called it already.

Do you know if declaration prepolls skew more progressive in later batch counts like postals? Might be wishful thinking, but I think this seat is still live.

I think they have called this victory way too early. I think there is a very realistic chance Nicolette Boele wins. If another 500 postals arrive by end of week chances are even better for Boele

Cross benchers should just agree to abstain from confidence and supply motions. No negotiation is required. Party or coalition of parties with most seats forms government. I wish we could adopt this convention and just stop with this hung parliament BS.

I would say "hung parliament" does have negative connotations. It is used very frequently in negative advertising. "Minority government" is also a well established and frequently used term that is more neutral. But I guess up to you how to do your reporting!
