The Norman Nicholson Society highly recommends Alison Brackenbury's 'Village'. Alison and Norman were kindred spirits - Alison's first collection of poems, 'Dreams of Power', came out in 1981, the same year that Nicholson's last collection 'Sea to the West' was published!
