Like, legit the reason I used to be a radical man-hating femin@zi was BECAUSE of how women are treated in Saudi Arabia - I assumed men were naturally misogynistic, and that the ONLY reason women are treated as equals in Australia is because we men are legally obliged to.

Why, though? Surely they’d *want* more Muslims to come in an implement Sharia law, to help contribute to the suppression of women’s rights?
Plus, they could brag about “not” being racist because they have that one Arab friend, so win-win!

Yeah, and my point is, being a woman is different to being black. Just because both demographics have that one thing in common, doesn’t mean they’re the same.

The reason there’s less women in power is not because it’s currently illegal for them to be, but because it historically used to be in the past, and we’re just catching up now. Change doesn’t happen overnight.

Back when I was a feminist who got easily offended by everything, I assumed antifeminists were the ones telling feminists that women were a minority, and that the feminists took issue with that statement as it was demeaning to women.
