Response from JR for fairness. But what else could he mean? The boat arrivals are almost all asylum seekers, and those who are not accepted as genuine refugees are refused and returned.

Genuinely surprised and kinda shocked that JR's response below is just a bare 'it is wrong to provide asylum to refugees'. We're all entitled to our opinions, but I think most civilized people would recognise this as a truly reprehensible opinion. Personal prejudices very much given away I reckon😬

A problem with this "careful" formula is that it specifically avoids implicating Farage. In glossing over own deception, Labour cannot but gloss over Farage's too. The only good positions involve leaving Bullshitsville entirely. But that's difficult when you've made your home in Bullshitsville.

Does this scanning visual space top to bottom thing have any behavioural implications? E.g. might visual objects nearer the top of the visual field enjoy some attentional advantage?

I mean...Labour have set up Reform *on purpose*. That demarks them as part of the problem, not the solution.

"We boosted the fash so you have to vote for us even though you hate us and we hate you"

"No fu"
