What a cover. 50 pages in and what a voice. (It pares nicely with Tyke Tiler which I’m reading with my kid at the moment)

Almost making me homesick. He’s talking about Ohio but could be Florida too. They do make it easy to park!

Gosh. Such beautiful writing. A lightness of touch from “the abyss.” I wasn’t sure I wanted to read this but really glad I did. Thanks to #indiethinking for the @4thestatebooks.bsky.social proof.

Run, don’t walk, to this incredible shop. Congrats to Bard Books on creating something so vibrant, interesting, and inviting in 8 months! The future is bright with new indie bookshops.

Loved this. Thanks @picadorbooks.bsky.social for the proof. I can’t stop thinking about it, though I’d not have guess that as I read it, and I think that’s what makes it so great. Fascinating on identity and belonging.

@katlister.bsky.social was such a great interviewer this eve, celebrating Vivian Gornick. And @amykey.bsky.social’s intro and insights are so so great. Lovely London eve.

Definitely feeling the need to read this now uk.bookshop.org/p/books/fier...

There’s something a little old-fashioned, it seems about his writing, but 15 pages in and I am completely convinced of the people, place, feelings and subtle charms. Looking forward to reading the rest.

And now onto this. Really enjoying. #loveinexile (despite reading it in a cold gym full of children fencing and all the noises that come with that).

For the lovely London files. Had the good fortune to see this on Friday night. Immediately started looking at flights to Bahia. #art
