I worked in a grocery in Boulder one Thanksgiving and the Wednesday before was a nightmare-amazing how many folks would wait ‘till the last minute to shop. I can still feel the pain of hefting many turkeys out of the shopping carts (yes, back in the day we had to unload the carts.)

Turkeys frequently on our dog walks in the woods and I always say run turkeys, run! Then I roast a big bird for all to eat. This disconnect is interesting, eh? That method sounds interesting - I may try it next week.

My gym is closed for tribal festival and TG after Tuesday next week. The following Monday will be a painful reminder why we don’t want to miss too many workouts. I see a very long walk after TG dinner on the menu

I’ve been making seed cakes for the birds from the beef fat I pour off the hamburger I feed my dogs. The birds scarf it down so fast! Poor guys, our dry spring and summer produced too few sunflowers and pinions and other food sources

I haven’t taken the solar, colored fairy lights off a tree in our yard for the last 3 years. Need the lights to get thru January. It really is too cold and gray, even for a winter fan like me.

I’m humming a lot of 🎶all the leaves are brown and the sky is gray🎶right now, but I know we’ll still have abundant sunshine in the days to come

Good Friday to you and All, MJ. I really appreciate the pep talk memes, tend to get too wrapped up on all the bad and forget to breathe in the good. Rain and snow in our forecast again starting tomorrow night. I like winter as long as I can come in after a cold walk and snuggle down by the fire 🔥

That sounds yummy. I would think your hostess/host would be appreciative of a heating tray as every burner and oven space is usually spoken for on TG. No matter how well one plans, there’s always something that needs to go in the last minutes 🤷♀️
