That’s garbage. Everyone at SSA should be given a newborn and see just how easy it is to do anything much less travel to a SSA office. And have you seen a SSA office? The wait time is insane, not to mention exposing newborns to god knows how many germs.

And pray tell, where will these farmers go? Our own farmers are already in distress and may lose their farms because of tariffs, dismantling foreign aid.

Is his plan to tank the economy, create even more unemployment than he already has, then swoop in saying he is the only one to save us? If he is the king of anything he is the king of creating chaos out of thin air.

As someone who has taught corrections, published a corrections textbook, this is alarming and places trans women in federal custody in harms’ way. It’s cruel and unusual punishment, unconstitutional.

You have to figure that a good portion of them are still in shock and it must be difficult to know just what to do.

Read Max Weber. He spoke of this very thing in The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism. After exploiting evangelicals in order to get elected, administration is now accusing them of not being Christians, as many live in poverty, others are hanging on for dear life in the middle class.

These guys should be sent back to civics class. Oh that’s right, civics classes have been eliminated in a number of curricula. You don’t just “acquire” a sovereign nation. Unless you are Putin.

And most of what we are seeing is white collar crime in the executive branch, members in Congress too impotent to fight back.

The red states will be harmed the most. How many thousands if not millions of lives are in harms way will have their world upended. And do the oligarchs not realize that if you thrust the middle class into poverty in a consumer economy that the whole thing will fall apart like a house of cards?

In higher ed here. We should be screaming to the rafters on all of the above. The students, above all, should come first.

Have to make smart moves, and not act too rashly in response. I have dual citizenship but not sure it’s better in other countries with more radical conservatives coming into power elsewhere. It’s going to be a rough road for four years, fingers crossed for a 1960s type of pushback.

Shape mental health under this administration? Really? When a possible Secretary of Health et al., clearly needs therapy himself? Think they will stop at vaccine denial? They’ve already halted research, which no doubt includes mental health. Nope, she is not getting a pass.
