I love Halloween, Wolverine, Bronze age Marvel comics, Robert E Howard's Conan, Indiana Jones, Masters of the Universe, Vintage Star Wars, and Universal Monsters.
Made it out of a pirate hat and an old scout hat.

Once you have dry brushed the wrought iron take a paper towel and wipe off the high features to see the copper underneath. Little amount of paint then wipe the brush on a towel until nearly dry just a shade then go over them. It will leave a nice patina. Mix white in for the lighter verdigris color

If that map, copper bones, and piece of eight are yours in the picture, don't forget to add the notes on the back of the map it could save your life one day. Buy copper and silver spray paint. Paint the key and coin. Leave them alone for a week to dry. Then dry brush on Wrought Iron acrylic paint.

Next time you go take me. I'm good at finding treasure.

Goonies never say die

It was a great adventure though. There may be some treasure yet. I highly recommend going. It inspired me to make a real parchment map and my own One Eyed Willie.

Unfortunately for you I have already been on that Goonies adventure, and plundered the treasure.

I want to go on an adventure

It is not mentioned but if he wanted to take refuge in London's streets lost in the crowd he would need to fit in with men's fashion. We know he studied English culture.

"he gazed at a tall, thin man, with a beaky nose and black moustache and pointed beard"

Boarding the ship to Varna he is wearing a straw hat.

"That he be all in black, except that he have a hat of straw which suit not him or the time."

An English straw hat as a poor attempt at assimilation is not very imposing or befitting nobility dear count. It might have been a straw top hat.

Ghost Story had some great practical effects/makeup design.

Subjective indeed. Poor Carradine's hat to me seems to be about to fall off his head.
November 19, 2025 at 1:19 PM
Bela Lugosi's Dracula also wears a top hat. Bela had a presence that Carradine could not achieve. Carradine had a moustache and was gaunt like the literary Dracula. Contract disputes, addiction, and availability prevented Bela from reprising the role for some time.

Ooh! I wish I was with you. When we went to see Clue the stage revolved. It was a lot of fun. The actors would go through a door or secret passage while the stage spun and come out in another room.

My first books of his were the Del Rey H.P. Lovecraft paperbacks with the awesome Michael Whelan's Lovecraft's Nightmare art on the covers.

Did H.P. Lovecraft's 1924 story Imprisoned with the Pharoahs ghostwritten as Harry Houdini who in 1910 finds himself on an adventure in Egypt even he can't escape from, come from holding a relic from an ancient civilization? I know when I hold my ushabti my imagination reels under the weight of time

My brother has a 1987 Flipsiders game that ripped of the art for their Dragon Master cassette.

It is my favorite of the ones I have.

The only modern thing I have with the art on it is a lunchbox that I use to hold my dice.

I got the stamps but gave them to my brother. He has a framed Ancient Red print on his wall signed by Larry Elmore.

The real answer is that any character facing off against a red dragon at the basic level 1-3 is doomed. The fate of the warrior is shown on the 1983 sliding puzzle. His skeleton rests on the dragon's golden hoarded treasure mound. 6/6

Back to the original question, what happened to that brave warrior facing off against the dragon? One theory has been floated that the fighter on the Basic set progresses to Expert, Companion, then Master level, before becoming Immortal showning progression of the character on the BECMI boxes 5/?

The artwork became the defacto Dungeons and Dragons logo in 1983 and was plastered on everything from candy to cheap toys. 4/?
