As Rowan pulled out of his grasp, the elf turned to Nuri with a snarl on his lips—only to see her leveling his own dagger at him. Rowan chortled at the expression on his face. “That go how you planned?” she asked smugly. “Oh, it’s far from over,” the man hissed, pulling a second, smaller dagger from his belt. “I saw you both in the ship, wandering about while I was stuck in my pod. What did you and those tentacled freaks do to me? I—aaaaah.” A vision filled Rowan’s mind. With a shock of recognition, she realized that she was seeing the streets of Baldur’s Gate—streets she had not walked in nearly a century. She was seeing them at night, crowded with merrymakers, as the pale elf wove his way through the crowds. He was seeking someone, drawing closer to them— The vision ended, and Rowan hissed in pain as her mind snapped back to the present. Across from her, the elf was holding a hand to his own head, clearly reeling from a vision of his own. “Gods. They took you too.” The man blinked and looked at Rowan with new eyes. “And to think I was ready to decorate the ground with your innards. Apologies.”

Then all three of us are going to raid that forge and get out of the Hells.” “Four. Four of us.” And there, standing at Karlach’s other side, was Rowan, her silver armor and bright hair shining in the morning sun. Nuri felt her jaw drop. “Rowan! Crying God forgive her, her first thoughts had been of Rowan smiting devils and flinging spells and how nice it would be to have her there—but Nuri knew why her friend was doing this, and she could not bear for someone else to be miserable for her sake. “Rowan—of course it would be wonderful to have you—but you and Halsin…” she protested. “Halsin thinks it’s a great idea. He’d come too if it weren’t for the kids, but he told me to have a good time and bring home lots of stories.” Rowan winked at Nuri. “Don’t sweat it, kid. We’re elves. We’ve got hundreds of years to be together. What’s a few months? Besides, the reunion sex will be fucking amazing.” “Rowan!” Nuri laughed, feeling a blush rise to her cheeks. “You’re not talking me out of this, Nuri,” Rowan said firmly. “Gortash pulled off stealing from a devil, how hard can it be?” Damned hard, Nuri thought ruefully. But they all knew that, so she didn’t say it aloud. “Thank you,” she said instead, meeting her friend’s eyes and reaching for her hand. Rowan caught it and squeezed it. “Any time. Now come on. Let’s go swipe some things from Hell.”

Day 3 of #BG3OCxOCWeek is "Gifts!" At the epilogue party, Rowan gives Nuri two important things. The first is a listening ear. Nuri and Wyll went to Avernus with Karlach, but Nuri finds the mission more difficult than she expected. #nlansOCs

Like maybe you need someone to talk to.” And that was all it took. It was as if every messy feeling in Nuri’s head had been held in there by a cork, and Rowan’s words were a corkscrew. Everything came rushing out. “I hate Avernus,” Nuri blurted. “I tried to understand what Karlach was saying when she told us she’d rather die than go back, but I didn’t understand it, not really. But now… gods help me, I see what she meant. It’s hideous and hot and the monsters are everywhere and for every moment of joy there’s a thousand more of awfulness and I… gods, I want to stay here so badly.” She drew a shuddering breath. “Please don’t tell Karlach. She’d feel awful, like this was her fault somehow, and it’s not.”

It felt normal, but… something inside her was off. Her magic was dimmed, dampened, and she had the strangest sense that if she tried to smite something she wouldn’t be able to summon her full power. Apparently she liked what she saw, because after a moment she said, “I’m going to try and find a way to escape. Want to stick together?” Rowan had to pause to wrap her head around that idea. She’d practically been a hermit for the past several decades; she hadn’t worked with anyone else since her days in Baldur’s Gate, and those were best forgotten. On the other hand, this woman had just saved Rowan’s ass, and the ropy musculature of her arms suggested that she could hold her own in a fight. “Sounds good,” Rowan said, casting her eyes about the room, hoping that somehow her familiar hammer and shield might be nearby. “I’m Rowan, by the way.” “Nuri. Pleased to meet you.” The half-orc made a little bow. “Come on. Let’s try to find a way out.”

Ohhhhh this is a good one for Mei. She was on hand for the events of Inquisition and was very drawn to Solas. Solas was just as intrigued by her but held back because of... well, everything. Mei's interest later turned to anger after the events of Trespasser.
