And another piece of bedroom furniture is done, one more dresser to go. All oak except the cedar shelves to help protect against moths.

First, Stewie gets chased by his tail, then his momma assaults him to wash his head.

All the construction is finally done, and so is the sanding. A little stain tomorrow, and adding a finish next weekend and this one will be complete.

And this is why every woodworker will tell you they don’t have enough clamps. Next up, the front frame/trim.

Book-matched panels were stained, sides were assembled. When the clamps are free, the top is ready for gluing and these get attached to the cabinet, and the trim out starts. This one feels like it’s coming together in a few weeks instead of a few months like the last one.

Managed to break down all the pieces for the dresser sides today. Up next, joinery…

Well, the assembly got done, but didn’t get started with the next steps.

Dresser project day 2. Made the dust frames, sanded the insides and stained. Tomorrow, the case gets assembled and the trim and sides get started.

Think they’re comfortable enough?

Dresser project day 1. Started with a sheet of plywood cut down into 3 sections so it’d fit down the basement steps. Ended up with a big old box with holes drilled for shelf pins. Next up: dust frames for the drawers to fit on, stain and assembly. Shop jigs make this easy some days.

This was the project I finished up last weekend. We bought this little desk at least 10 years ago at an art fair/antique swap we were set up at. It had been repainted (sloppily) and was missing the desk front and the small interior drawers. I stripped the paint, made the missing bits and painted.

Not really sure what to use this for. Never joined Twitter, and really only joined here as an FU to Elon. Definitely not interested in political debate online. That’s a road to insanity.. so I guess woodworking it is. Made this for a buddy for his robotics team to store legos in.
