It helps. In the aggregate, not the particular. Members are still surprisingly responsive to the "pulse" calls offer them on constituent concerns. You should feel good for doing it.

Really interesting. Can we tell this story independent of productivity? When a common argument for US over-performance there was a stimulus response that deprioritized existing employment relationships, but allowed for more labor reallocation and firm formation?

With gratitude for doing this, it would be wonderful if you and other faculty would consider writing a rebuttal for NYT itself -- knocking this nonsense argument down where it was inexplicably elevated.
