To be honest, I like to believe (headcanon) that Lucifer never wanted to become king of Hell in the first place. He didn't want to rule over anyone or anything. He just wants to be with Lilith!

My headcanon is that, what if Lucifer never wanted to become king of Hell in the first place? Or didn't want to be king of anything and the only thing he wanted (and still wants) is to be with Lilith?
