I think it does matter, farage trashing WW2 efforts, which is foundational for oldest generation, will have an impact. In the 1970s everyone had family members who fought. Anyone remotely normal didn't make jokes about gas chambers in the 1970s

My son and friends daughter in Cardiff must be unlucky. They are paying a lot for complete dumps

I often agree but then: my kids go to a great non selective state school, for me, booking appointment/repeat prescriptions through the NHS app is great, the local bus service is fab (I live in the country), the free library app is amazing - there are loads of things better now than when I was young

The arctic train line to Narvik was electrified 100 years ago. The lack of investment from the country which invented the railways is so depressing

I thought that but I challenged a friend for being lazy, they said they weren't sure people would want to hang out with them so they didn't ask & turned out the friend was depressed. I'm a bit wary about drawing conclusions now

What are they waiting for? There will be no party left if they leave it longer
October 5, 2025 at 5:16 PM
Yes, it's awful, the slow tightening and the refusal of almost everyone to recognize what is happening. It's a brilliant brilliant series

There's a sister sledge song (I think) that I used to wonder why they were singing about a lump of wood (it was like a lover would)
