I really enjoyed it, and I am excited to listen to the new episode that just dropped. If you ever need a guest, I think that might be fun. (I've been thinking about starting a podcast, but I have no idea what I am doing.)

At this point, I assume anyone who mentions "AI" is talking about ChatGPT until they demonstrate they know what AI is. It's far more likely to be a marketing term than a field of study.

There's a significant schism here for field entry: Sesame Street era (BERT, Ernie, Elmo, etc.) scholars who readily pick up models on HuggingFace vs. post-ChatGPT scholars who tend to conflate AI as an entire category of scholarly activities with Big Tech chatbots. Most DHers are the latter.
