In theory any native born British citizen from NI could have their citizenship stripped on that basis. IIRC the question was asked by someone and the reply was along the lines of no not you, a bit disconcerting if you ask me. The UK needs a constitution setting out the rights of it's citizens.

No it's to do with a DUP politician from Donegal that considered himself British whilst only holding Irish citizenship and refusing to pay the exorbitant naturalisation fee. The change was made to satisfy one man in one party.

I think the only way to deal with this is to take back the flag and have everyone fly it. Make it inclusive, it should start with th PM declaring the flag for everyone.

No sane international student would consider the US as a place to study under these arbitrary conditions. Imagine having their visa annulled and losing all the time and money invested in their education?
