When we talked about how facilities were the interest of the municipal government it reminded me of something I learned in my SRS 105 class. When people run for mayor they tend to use big facilities to bring attention and popularity to their campaign and to have something physical to be remembered.

I would also add on that a big part of poker is luck, and it can directly affect the outcome of the game, which I believe also goes against it being a sport. Sports also have some luck involved, but it won't be the reason you win or lose.

I believe sport is any activity that has any level of competitiveness against others or oneself. It also needs to have some sort of physical exertion and needs to be trained or practiced. Lastly, it needs to have rules and a clear winner, either by most or least points, or by being first or last.
