Pixel art on a CRT definitely looks way higher definition than pixel art on modern displays. The warm fuzziness really makes the art.

They'd have gotten majorly yelled at if they had called any of these drops 1.22 etc!

Minecraft 22.1 is going to confuse most players though. 4 digits keeps the existing format untouched and crosscompatible while helping solve the hotfix vs minor confusion. Plus, Minecraft even used to use 4 digits, back in Classic through Alpha.

That's correct, but mixing hotfix and minor releases gets confusing. They should add a fourth digit for clarity (e.g 1.21.5.1 is a hotfix for a game drop)

Are we going to be told what the version number is before the pre-release stage or once again are just gonna have to guess 😆?

Simply alternate between — and – and -- at random.
