This kind of mouse brought to mine the phrase "drink from your enemy's skull" or "drink the blood of your enemies." That was the inspiration for my upcoming art. Stay tuned!

The grasshopper mouse lives in the Sonoran desert of NA.
They can eat scorpions, but when the mice get stung, their bodies convert the venom to a painkiller, and they also howl like wolves.
Crazy cool, right?!

Turns out chicken eyes are fascinating! And better than humans! I drew the skull in carbon dust and the other art in colored pencil.

This fluffball was a delightful dog that I did as a gift for a friend. Toby did not like his picture taken and he had loads of fluffy fur. I took his picture when he didn't know it and colored his floof using pastels.

This was a commission I did on a little puppy named Ellie. She was so loved and treasured. This was done in colored pencil and the pillow was carbon dust.

This was a commission I did for a friend of her dog named Peter. It was done in carbon dust with a splash of color - red pastel in the fur where the sun touched, and colored pencil eyes. Carbon dust with pops of color is my favorite.

To keep up the horsey theme, I did this horse skull in graphite. I am really pleased how it turned out!

I have a blurry picture of my horses (mare and her foal) napping together. I decided to make it out of needle felting a long time ago. While I'm still proud I did it, I have learned a lot about details and proportions since then.

My master's thesis was on sheep grazing. I used my picture of those sheep for my Scientific Illustration course's final. It's a final of a final! I did this all in carbon dust with highlights in eraser and darks in carbon. It's one of my favorites!
