Since I’m talking to the mastermind behind Atuin: would it be possible for the server to read username, password, db-host, and dbname directly from environment variables? That would make setup a lot cleaner than having to assemble a full connection string like I'm doing in this guide. :-)

Start small and add functionality as you get familiar with NixOS and home-manager.

So far, everything is working fine. Their billing service sends a lot of unnecessary emails, but the technical side is okay. I was hoping to use vRack with the cheaper servers, but that wasn’t an option. I’ll probably stay here for a while.
