I'm with you on the arms race part and the low ttk correlation. I felt from personal experience that tarkov had it the worst, but I haven't played every multiplayer game.

Some games have worse cheating problems than others, though. Tarkov multiplayer was the worst for it, counter strike has it real bad. I'm sure there's a reason some games have it worse, and I don't specifically blame the devs. But when I take my time and money elsewhere, often cheating was the cause

In some cultures, it's normal for all of your coworkers to know what you make. It ensures more fair pay across the company, and those who get paid more may actually be expected to do more to earn that.

I'm trying to get into electronic music production, but it's further down on my "new skills list." I have over a decade of experience playing cello and drums, but I'm a bit rusty presently. I'm also getting into high-quality "audiophile" gear. I just picked up a DAP and IEMs a few months ago.

Hearing skyrim's melee combat described as clunky means we must have advanced pretty far in the last 14 years. I've always thought it was excellent, but I haven't played another RPG with melee combat since then besides cyberpunk 2077.

When I play jackbox from linux it seems to work fine for my friends, I use linux mint with a cinnemon desktop. I'm fairly new to linux, less than a year. Not sure if other games are different for it
